Production Management Division, Group Leader said:
In the past, the main problem we had with non-TLV PRVs was that secondary pressure was unstable, which led to temperature fluctuations of the presses and resulted in reduced product quality. In particular, this became glaringly apparent when we first switched to the once-through type boiler we are now using. At set pressures of 0.02 - 0.03 MPa, temperature fluctuations of around 10 ºC would occur.
However, since installing COSPECT®, the pressure remains stable at the set pressure and the temperature-induced product quality problem that used to occur 2-3 times a month has been completely eliminated. There was a period during which we again used non-TLV PRVs due to budget constraints, but the result was unstable pressure and a reoccurrence of problems with impaired product quality. This caused us to recognize once again the high reliability of COSPECT®, and we have used nothing but COSPECT® since.
Furthermore, as COSPECT® offers space savings due to its compact construction with built-in strainer, separator and steam trap, in addition to its other features designed from the viewpoint of the people onsite, COSPECT® is very highly valued by the persons in charge of our field sites.
