Fluid Control Equipment
Pneumatic Control Valve for Steam
PN-COSR-16
Can be used for manual remote control, and as pressure reducing valve with 2-point pressure switching
PN-COSR is a remotely controllable, pilot-operated control valve that allows remote control of the secondary side pressure setting with an air regulator*.
The secondary side pressure can be set at two points: the motive air supply and the built-in adjustment screw. Steam supply can be maintained even with motive air cut off (in case of emergencies).
* Use a pressure regulator with relief function.
Remote operation
| Advantages | Excellent environmental resistance (high temperature, high humidity, water resistance, explosion proof) | |
|---|---|---|
| Recommended equipment |
Facilities where on-site pressure reducing valves are installed in high or distant locations, where frequent washing with water is required, and where the use of electrical equipment should be avoided |

ON-OFF control (temperature control)
| Advantages |
Improved temperature control accuracy Temperature control of equipment whose temperature fluctuates too much with ON-OFF control |
|
|---|---|---|
| Recommended equipment |
Equipment that requires more flexible temperature control than ON-OFF control at low cost | |

Automatic control by combination of controller & electro-pneumatic regulator
PID control is possible by combining operation with a controller and an electro-pneumatic transducer. This is primarily for pressure control, however under the right conditions it can also be used for temperature control. Operation is controlled by motive air, and the electro-pneumatic transducer is installed separately so it can be used in high temperature, high humidity, and explosion-proof areas.
* Electro-pneumatic adapters can also be used.
