SteamAqua® helps building management company tackle inspection challenges
Steam Bulletin is TLV's free bimonthly email magazine on steam systems, energy efficiency, product selection, and more.
A building management company was having trouble maintaining the hot water system in an office building more than 30 years old. The existing hot water storage tanks required annual inspections at cost of approx. 10,000 USD each time and a two-day shutdown period for the building and its tenants, including restaurants in the basement level.
The decision to switch to a steam-fired water heater eliminated the need for legal inspections. In addition to cutting operating costs, the two-day shutdown was no longer necessary, and the building management company could avoid inconveniencing tenants and their customers.
To achieve this, the building management company switched the four hot water tanks with three SteamAqua® units, which also freed up floor space previously taken up by the tanks, and actually reduced the overall steam consumption of the building.

TLV exhibits at FOOMA 2024
TLV had the opportunity to showcase our latest technology to more than 113,000 attendees at FOOMA Japan 2024, the world's largest comprehensive food manufacturing exhibition.
The TLV booth was based on the “Steam Support Center” concept, and the main feature was SQ-C04, a compact version of the SteamAqua® steam-fired water heating unit. In addition, HeatSaver™, an energy-saving condensate and flash steam recovery system, was on display, and our steam specialist engineers were on hand to introduce the award-winning iBPSSM.net® monitoring service.
We were delighted by the overwhelming interest our solutions received and all the questions that customers had for us. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with steam users and TLV customers alike, and to engage in insightful discussions on steam and maintenance solutions.
We hope you have enjoyed this edition of the Steam Bulletin.
