Large Capacity Float Steam Traps
J10/JH15/JL/JLH15
FLOATDYNAMIC® Principle
TLV's large capacity float steam traps J10 and JH15 are also called float dynamic steam traps. Large capacity is achieved by using a free float as a pilot valve to open a piston type large bore main valve.
When a large amount of condensate flows in, the float floats and the condensate flows through the orifice into the cylinder, where it forms secondary pressure. This secondary pressure pushes the piston to open the main valve, which intermittently discharges condensate from the main body.
TLY® (Tetra-Leaf & Yoke) mechanism
TLV's SW1U series of high-capacity float steam traps uses the TLY® (Tetra-Leaf & Yoke) mechanism to achieve high capacity in a compact design.
The TLY® mechanism was developed for process lever float steam traps, and comprises a four-bladed valve connected directly to a lever float.
As the valve opening and closing forces created by the pressure differential between inlet and outlet pressures are balanced, the four-bladed valve ensures stable trap operation at all times.
