The award recognizes the Consulting · Engineering · Services (CES) team’s achievements in reducing the energy consumption of steam systems across the world. ECCJ credited the CES Survey for its achievements in reducing steam use by an average of 5,300 kilograms per hour, and identifying potential savings of 20,500 kilograms per hour, in plants with steam consumption of over 200,000 kilograms per hour. The Energy Conservation Grand Prize has been awarded to companies that have achieved significant energy savings through innovative products and services since 1990. This is the second time that TLV has been awarded the prize, having first received it in 2009 for its energy-saving achievements in a joint project with Nippon Petroleum Refining Co., Ltd. (now JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation). In the CES Survey, TLV’s CES team members survey all areas of the steam system; analyze survey data using innovative TLV software (including SSRM®); identify opportunities for optimizing the system; and prepare a thorough economic analysis covering investment, savings, and returns.
