Technical Field Sales (Various Territories)
Candidate will represent TLV in a sales capacity by providing technical support to existing and prospective TLV end-user clients, and sales and technical support to TLV Distributors. Candidate will be required to maintain existing and develop new relationships/clients for TLV by providing hands-on, technical support (approx. 50% of initial activity will be to develop new clients). Technical support includes:
- Technical and commercial training of TLV Distributors.
- General consulting regarding operation and maintenance of end-user clients’ steam traps and steam system.
- General consulting regarding operation and maintenance of end-user clients’ compressed air system drainage devices.
- Specific consulting regarding application and selection of TLV products.
- Ability to use TLV diagnostic tools to access condition of client’s steam system and confirm performance of TLV products.
- Time allocation for this position is to spend 80% of work week in direct contact with end-users and TLV Distributors, and 20% of work week as office time for follow-up and planning.
Candidate will travel throughout the assigned territory to provide technical support and manage distribution channels. Anticipated overnight travel will be 40%, depending upon candidate’s home location.
Candidate must have good interpersonal skills (and preferably some sales experience) to enable candidate to develop new relationships/clients for TLV and enable management of distribution channels.
